A fascinating and traditional Victorian novelty, the Jacob’s Ladder Wooden Curiosity is made of slats of wood bound (in a secret way!) with ribbons to make them click-clack downwards as you turn it from side to side.

This centuries old contraption gives the illusion of flipping blocks of wood as you hold and tilt the ladder.
