2019 Retail Business Woman of the Year Finalist - Chelsea McIntosh

It has been 14 years since Spoilt opened their doors. A lot has changed since then  - 7 more stores have been opened, a rebrand and a lot behind the scenes. The person behind it all is Chelsea McIntosh. She had a vision and brought it to life - to bring a gift store to Melbourne CBD that gives convenience to the busy businesses workers a place to get a gift to spoil a special someone.

Through her hard work within the industry and the community, Chelsea has been recognised for two awards - the Australian Retail Association 2019 Retail Business Woman of the Year and the Business 3000+ Female Entrepreneur of the Year Award.

“I’ve always been about inspiring and leading my staff to work with the local community and also offer a service that is very much about helping rather than just serving.   At Spoilt we pride ourselves on having a family culture in-store and also one that supports local communities. We are strong supporters of the St Kilda Mums Charity who we regularly donate stock to, as well as having donation boxes at the counter of all of our stores. It’s things like this that makes Spoilt much more than just your one stop shop for gifts.” Chelsea comments.

For Chelsea, being nominated for this award is an important part of her personal success and the success of the business.

On top of these two awards Spoilt has also been announced as a finalist for the Australian Retail Association 2019 Independent Retailer award alongside Birds Nest, Brava and The Party People.
